Brad Gilbert, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) is in private practice specializing in sex and love addiction, EMDR therapy, marital conflict, anxiety, trauma, and Group Therapy.
Brad will help you through your difficulties with compassion, yet he will direct you to specific action when you need that support.
Brad is skilled at finding problematic behavioral and emotional patterns that clients have been unable to recognize on their own. When Brad helps his clients begin to see the behavioral and emotional patterns they are moved to take action to make real changes and they become closer in their relationships, to themselves and others. Brad’s approach includes Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic, as well as the use of EMDR Therapy for trauma and anxiety processing. When working with couples he also uses the Imago approach. Through the Imago approach clients find that seemingly irrational thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can be understood and healed by finding their underlying unsatisfied needs and childhood experiences. Thus, bringing them into the present day context of a marriage or partnership. The couple works toward greater acceptance of each other through insights, specific exercises and behavioral changes, creating a deeper, stronger connection with each other. In his private sessions and group therapy Brad reflects a good sense of humor while affirming the human condition.
